Tuesday 20 September | Climate adaptation and green roofs in Amsterdam | location: Amsterdam | 15:00 - 16:30

From the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, we have been collaborating on the RESILIO Project for a few years now:

RESILIO - The smart roofs project in Amsterdam.

The RESILIO Project will construct 10,000 m2 of smart blue-green roofs in Amsterdam. This is necessary because it is raining more often and harder, while it is also getting hotter. Additional rainwater is collected under the layer of plants on the roof. This water is held by a smart valve or discharged based on weather forecasts. This keeps our feet dry and heads cool. The roofs provide space for new nature, which is good for biodiversity in the city.

We will go on the roof together and get an explanation of the research and the results!
