Symposium 2025

Welcome to the page about the annual symposium of ConcepT, the student association for Civil Engineering at the University of Twente. The ConcepT Symposium is the largest civil engineering event in the region, making it the ideal place for companies and students to interact.

On 4 February 2025, the 32nd edition of the ConcepT Symposium will take place at the Van der Valk hotel in Enschede. The theme of this symposium is 'Running a project, towards the boundaries of innovation'. During the symposium, many companies from different branches of civil engineering will be present. They will organise lectures, workshops and more.

Running a project: Towards the Boundaries of Innovation

The 32nd Civil Engineering Symposium, organised by student association ConcepT (University of Twente), will take place on 4 February 2025. This event provides a platform for civil engineering students and professionals to network with each other and exchange knowledge on this year's theme: "Running a Project, Towards the Boundaries of Innovation."

The main theme "Running a Project" is inspired by the global passion for running, an increasingly popular sport, which perfectly matches the project-based nature of both education and industry.

"Towards the Boundaries of Innovation" serves as a metaphor for navigating the complexities of modern civil engineering, where innovation is essential to address challenges such as sustainability and the integration of artificial intelligence.

The civil engineering of the future will require breakthrough technologies and continuous development to meet global needs. Since innovation knows no boundaries, there are always new frontiers to explore. Our goal is to continuously push these boundaries to improve the world we build.
