Theme Water Construction Day 2025: 'Towards a resilient Hydraulics!'

Our country and our industry face significant challenges. Think of dealing with the threat from the east, digital threats surrounding our critical (hydraulic) infrastructure and transport and energy networks. During this Hydraulic Engineering Day, we will reflect on what this means for our sector and how we respond to it.

Hydraulic engineers would not be hydraulic engineers if they did not think in terms of solutions. How do we armour our water management against cyber threats, how does the port of Rotterdam guarantee continuity and how do we ensure robust energy supplies and cables in the North Sea.
What can we do in the event of high water and sabotage of dikes and engineering structures? How, through international cooperation in the hydraulic engineering sector, do we create a more stable world?
