Description

Full title:
Water-lubricated propeller shaft bearings and rudder bearings for larger seagoing vessels

Increasing regulations within shipping in terms of pollution and emissions have led to an increased interest in environmentally friendly solutions for all kinds of issues on board ships. Now almost all the attention is swallowed up by the NOX and SOX story, but plenty of areas remain where there are also gains to be made. One of these areas is the use of oil- and lubricant-free bearings.

Thordon Bearings Inc from Canada has been a manufacturer of eco-friendly bearings for use on board ships for more than 30 years and is one of the best-known suppliers of water-lubricated propeller shaft bearings and rudder bearings for larger ocean-going vessels, among others.
