Description

Dynamic operator training simulation.

Due to the availability of the speakers, the activity has been moved to 3 February 2010. The above date is therefore final.

Chemical process plants are becoming increasingly reliable. In technical design, there is a continuous focus on process safety and process efficiency.

A process operator plays a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of a chemical process plant. However, due to extensive automation and greatly improved reliability, the operator's "feeling" for the process has decreased. A simulator offers a solution to maintain that "feeling".

This lecture will discuss how such a simulator is constructed and why these are often expensive and complex projects. Some project cases (Delesto) will also be discussed
