Presentation W.S.G. Isaac Newton Study Tour Gear Up
W.S.G. Isaac Newton is a vibrant study association that inspires and connects mechanical engineering students at the University of Twente in their quest for knowledge and innovation.
Last year, they went on an impressive study trip to Japan and Thailand, two countries known for their advanced technology and industrial developments. During this trip, the students visited leading companies that have a direct link to Industrie 4.0, the revolutionary movement integrating smart technologies into production processes. Through these visits, they gained insight into the latest innovations, such as artificial intelligence, automation and digital transformation within the industry.
In addition to company visits, the students conducted in-depth research on the impact and implementation of Industry 4.0. Their findings are a valuable contribution to the scientific and engineering community and they are preparing to present their results to KIVI, the Royal Institute of Engineers. In doing so, they not only demonstrate their academic commitment but also their ambition to boost knowledge development within their field.
This study tour was an inspiring experience that helped the students of W.S.G. Isaac Newton broaden their horizons and take a crucial step towards their future in the technological world.
KIVI Department of Mechanical Engineering is proud to have helped the students in this through sponsorship and hopes to meet many interested members of KIVI at this event.
