Webinar - Circularity in the rubber industry
Rubber is everywhere, from your car tyres to the outside door, from the windows of Rotterdam Central Station to the seal in your coffee machine. For every application, there is a specific rubber to choose from with properties such as food safety, fire retardancy, high temperature resistance or just low-temperature flexibility.

The origin of all that rubber is largely from fossil fuels, with the other part coming from the rubber tree. Although natural in origin, here too there are risks regarding availability due to a changing climate and harsh working conditions. Increasing use of rubber and thus waste create uncertainties in the future. Therefore, reuse of rubber residues and use of biological raw materials become of great importance.
During this webinar, we have found Enrico Koggel willing to introduce us to the world of rubber, rubber recycling and bio-based additives. Enrico is co-founder of the Circular Rubber Platform, which presents recycled and biobased raw materials and facilitates applications of circular raw materials.

Practicalities for during the webinar:
To make the webinar run smoothly for everyone, we would like to ask you to temporarily turn off the microphone and webcam during the main part. When there is an opportunity to ask questions, these may of course be switched back on.
