Would you like to use your knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to help others? Then there is a great opportunity now!

Dear member of KIVI Department of Mechanical Engineering,

As a mechanical engineer, you are at the centre of technology, often working together with multiple disciplines and fields. Through your structured problem solving, you contribute to the quality of our society. The KIVI Department of Mechanical Engineering makes a strong case for greater(er) social appreciation of your field. But our department does more. It also aims to support the individual engineer in his or her professional practice through lectures, company visits, presentations, workshops, courses and training. Important topics currently under discussion include:

1. Circular economy with particular reference to material use
2. Energy transition
3. Smart Industry
4. Simulation techniques for validating processes.

The current board within KIVI is looking for new (board) members to further develop and renew the department and activities. Even if you only want to organise something or work on a project, we encourage you to do so!

Board work itself does not take up much time, is very satisfying, opens up new fields of work and leads to new contacts.
