Rose Robots for Care
Description
Care-on-Distance (ZOA) is a concept now widely accepted by the field. In the existing ZOA concepts, care is mainly provided through information and communication technology. However, with current Care-on-Distance, it is not possible to act in the client's environment. For example, if a walking stick is dropped, the client has to wait until the next home care visit. Rose developed a mobile robot with arms that does make it possible to perform actions near the client. So ZOA with robots is really nothing more than a logical extension of already implemented and accepted forms of ZOA.
Rose wants to play an important pioneering role in the coming years, both nationally and internationally, to implement these applications. The Eindhoven region is ideally suited for this
The lecture will discuss the context of development and the technological challenges. In addition, a demo will be given.
