8 March International Women's Day is not a day we want to let go unnoticed. A day dedicated to the militancy and solidarity of women all over the world. Together, learning from each other, helping each other. That is why we treat ourselves on this day with a workshop "Get a Grip" with the outcome being less stress and more self-confidence by getting a grip on your thoughts.

The first present we want to share with you in advance is that we are a growing network. We have gained new members and we would be delighted to welcome our new members in person on 8 March. This does not mean that we forget our long-standing loyal members in the process, as we would also like to share the ins and outs of our network with you at the General Members' Meeting on 8 March over drinks.

Why

You are a highly educated, analytically and rationally thinking woman and yet ... Our brains are masters at creating irrational thoughts. Often, you don't even know you have them, but feel insecure, angry, frustrated or tense about something. And that is often exactly what you don't need to do your work effectively and with pleasure.

What and how

In this fun, interactive workshop, you will learn how to turn non-effective thoughts into helpful beliefs. Vera inspires with personal anecdotes and practical exercises. You will learn the Rational Self Analysis technique and you will leave with a personal action plan: Totally ready for action!

Our coach

Vera Gelissen is a certified senior coach, with an academic background and more than 20 years' experience in management positions in large companies (Bosch, Coca-Cola, DAF Trucks, among others). For many years, she combined a full-time and international career in HR with a family life. A few years back, she decided to shift her focus from shaping organisations to coaching individuals. In her own coaching practice, she focuses on empowering women. From a young age, Vera has been fascinated by gender dynamics and how they affect the workplace. Through study and experience, she is an expert when it comes to understanding the bumps women face in male-dominated organisations, and how to deal with them effectively. Vera is warm and personable, sharp, analytical and results-oriented. She loves hard work as well as humour: 'Having a good laugh together is the best thing there is'.

Location

We will be guests at ISPT in Amersfoort for this workshop. Click here for directions and parking facilities.

ISPT, the leading institute for open innovation in the process industry located in the old Gymnasium in Amersfoort, is the hostess of the meeting. At the heart of its efforts is the transition towards aCO2-neutral, circular economy in 2050. A sustainable future requires more than technological innovations: it requires collaboration. That's why its core business is not in engineering, but in connecting people. Open innovation means that companies share practical experience and R&D ideas with each other - rather than just doing this alone or in-house.

ISPT creates a trust-based environment that connects the parties involved and facilitate their sharing of expertise and know-how in joint innovation programmes.
