Under the motto "get to know your own members", a cosy high tea was organised on 14 September in the heart of Utrecht. Around half past one, everyone had arrived. While enjoying litres of tea, there was plenty of opportunity to feast on all kinds of sweets as well as savoury snacks.
It was soon convivial and there was plenty of talking and laughing. Switching chairs gave rise to even more conversations and introductions.
Although the group is only a small reflection of the entire network, the opportunity was also taken to take stock of ideas about desired activities. And that did not go unused! Six pages full of ideas and wishes were conceived and named under existing themes supplemented by more. In any case, too many to list here now.

The ideas will be compiled and put out in the form of a survey and tested against the wishes of the other members. With the ideas that appeal to the most members, we can get to work. Do you get inspired and want to get involved in organising an activity? Let 1 of us know, we would like to invite you for further consultation and interpretation.
We look back on a pleasant casual afternoon. Some (too) much food and lots of energy gained!

Description

We are delighted to invite you to a high tea on Saturday 14 September 2013. The programme is simple: we get to know each other better.
Still some places available! You can register until 11 September.
This part of NVI's programme falls under the theme of social capital with a nod to traditional women's activities.
As female engineers, we often work in a predominantly male environment and often find it challenging and inspiring. Sharing these work experiences among ourselves makes an important contribution to emancipation within the profession and the NVI provides a platform for that.
The NVI strives for more diversity in the association and therefore wants to increase the proportion of women within the active engineering network.

We have 20 places available for this activity.
Registration is possible until 11 September
