Equal rights for men and women anno 2016. Without discrimination based on origin or gender. In September 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals -or world goals- were adopted in New York. Goal 5 is all about equal rights for men and women and the empowerment of women and girls.
How do we actually work the new Sustainable Development Goal 5 into Dutch policy? Are we keeping each other focused enough? And how is the United Nations looking at the new goals? How do we put this important goal on the agenda in the Netherlands and worldwide?
Chaired by presenter Zarayda Groenhart, minister Ploumen talks to UN WOMEN director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, MPs and civil society.
