PALLAS reactor excursion at the Energy and Health Campus (Petten)
The board of KIVI Nuclear Technology and the Netherlands Nuclear Society would like to invite you to an excursion to the PALLAS reactor in Petten on Friday 20 June at 12.00.
The programme for the afternoon is as follows:
On Friday 20 June, KIVI Nuclear Technology and the NNS are organising an excursion to the PALLAS reactor at the Energy and Health Campus (EHC) in Petten. During the excursion, an employee of the PALLAS project will give a presentation on the construction and design of the PALLAS reactor. Part of the presentation will include a walk to a dune top on the EHC overlooking the construction site. In addition, a number of speakers from NRG PALLAS will discuss the role of the PALLAS reactor in medical isotope production and research and in nuclear energy research. The meeting will start at 12.00 with lunch and will conclude with drinks around 16.00.
Registration is possible via the KIVI website.
Participation is free for members of KIVI, NNS, Kernvisie and students and costs €25 for others.
For logistical reasons, participation in the excursion is limited to 40 participants. Please note that participation is on a first-come-first-served basis.
Please note that climbing the top of the dune requires some effort and is not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Note that it is not allowed to take photos during the visit to the EHC.
Around 15 May, participants will receive an email with details of the access procedure and a request to provide additional personal details for access.
Kind regards,
The Board of KIVI Nuclear Engineering
