KIVI Nuclear Engineering / NNS is pleased to invite you to its annual members' meeting with lectures and a New Year drink!

This year's programme features two very interesting speakers:
Prof. Dr. Wim van Westrenen, Professor of planetary evolution at the VU in Amsterdam and Rob de Meijer of the EARTH Foundation and affiliated to the Department of Physics at the University of the Western Cape.
Together they wrote, among others, the book "How does the Earth work".

During his talk, Van Westrenen will discuss the existence of natural nuclear reactors in the earth's interior (also known as georeactors). De Meijer will focus on detection of anti-neutrinos for safeguarding nuclear reactors.
