Long Distance Tie-backs: A case study
Description
Since 1984, INTEC have designed pipelines and subsea production systems in water depths once thought impossible to reach, in locations as diverse as the Black Sea, the Arctic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, offshore West Africa, and the South China Sea. In 1999 INTEC were awarded the FEED Design of the Scarab Saffron Development Offshore Egypt. A Long Distance Tie-back and deepwater development, something new for the area and a first class project. INTEC continues working on various phases of the development to this day. The presentation will provide a history of the development and comprise a description of the Nile Delta Area, the Development Phases, Facilities, Contracting Strategy and the Technical Challenges. The presentation will be given in English.
