On 10 November 2011, KIVI NIRIA organised an offshore conference in collaboration with AVANS University of Applied Sciences for the third time. This time the theme was 'Offshore: bigger, faster, more efficient'. Once again, the event took place at the AVANS Hogeschool in 's-Hertogenbosch. During plenary and parallel sessions, various inspiring and prominent speakers shed their light on the theme.

Description

At this event at the AVANS University of Applied Sciences in 's-Hertogenbosch, ir. E. Heerema (director Allseas), among others, will speak. Other inspiring and prominent speakers will also show and experience the challenges at great depths.

OFFSHORE IN BRABANT
In September 2008, the Hogeschool AVANS started the minor Offshore Engineering & Automation. The participation of more than 20 companies in this minor has been very successful for both student and company. Part of the programme is the Student Contest. This is a competition in which about 80 fourth-year students showcase their projects through poster presentations.

KIVI NIRIA
KIVI NIRIA focused on the theme 'Smart Materials' in 2011. The Dutch offshore industry makes a major contribution to this theme. With this conference, the Offshore Technology department will showcase the challenges of identifying and extracting new materials.

CHALLENGES FOR THE DUTCH INDUSTRY
