Rising Subsea
Description
Demand of offshore oil and gas production is expected to grow drastically in this decade as exploration moves to harsh and deep waters and Arctic areas for which the subsea installations offer attractive alternatives to floating and/or fixed structures. Enabling new technologies such as riser systems, long insulated tie-backs, subsea separation and compression are emerging to overcome the challenges such as cold temperatures, large distance transportation and subsea boosting. The symposium will reveal details about research and applications of these emerging technologies. Several national and international speakers will share challenges and prospects of the rising subsea developments. Our intention is to inspire the Dutch industry and students for more activities in this area
