1st Meeting A&O Working Group
Description
The A&O working group of the KIVI Risk Management and Engineering Department has the challenging task of looking for 'blind spots' in current practice to broaden the basis and context of risk management. And in particular to find an angle for involving the 'human factor' in the various phases of integral risk assessment and management. The field of work interfaces with a variety of disciplines outside the traditional engineering world, such as behavioural sciences, social psychology, ethics and communication, but also has parallels with knowledge and management theory and business studies.
Given the breadth and scope of the aspects involved, it is essential to quickly achieve an effective framing of the working group's activities. Main topics for the 11 March meeting are therefore: What are important and promising themes, What are real goals and concrete plans for 2014 and How do we approach it.
