PRESENTATION "GREENEST FACTORY OF THE NETHERLANDS"
By: Maurice Beijk, Sustainable Construction Specialist & CSR Ambassador
A sustainable and healthy working climate is firmly anchored in the DNA of the Haaksberg company. As early as the early 1980s, for instance, the move to much healthier plastic dispersion adhesives was made. Not long after that, Unipro was the first in the market to supply only solvent-free UZIN adhesives. But sustainability is still a top priority at Unipro. This is reflected in the product range and packaging, but also in the premises.
When building the new premises, Unipro translated its vision of sustainability in a practical way into a modern way of building, transporting and producing. With a GPR score of 8.66, the new building is the greenest factory in the Netherlands. GPR Gebouw tests renovation projects and new construction on five main themes: Energy, Environment, Health, Quality of Use and Future Value. With GPR Gebouw, the sustainability of a building can be monitored throughout its entire lifecycle, from policy plan and design, to realisation, renovation or even redevelopment.
With this "green" environment, Unipro aims to inspire its customers, employees and all other stakeholders to find "greener" solutions.
