Altran-KIVI NIRIA Telecommunications Prize
Description
Is the Netherlands innovating successfully in the field of telecommunications? Which research fields at the three technical universities will potentially lead to a leading position within Europe? Of these research fields, what is the applicability, the market value? Who will be the first to implement successfully? Is telecommunications research within the Netherlands still alive?
On Thursday 10 June, you will be able to discuss all this with fellow interested parties when you attend the lectures in the battle for the Altran-KIVI NIRIA Telecommunications Prize 2010 during the Telecom Business Dinner, this year at Buitenplaats Amerongen.
The aim of the KIVI NIRIA Telecommunications Prize is to highlight the telecommunications sector in the Netherlands, specifically highlighting the importance of applied research in telecommunications. Each TU has nominated a candidate whose PhD research or study is the best candidate for this.
The battle offers you three lectures by PhD students, who have been identified by their TU as the best in the field of Telecommunications. You will get a good insight into the innovations within telecommunications programmes as developed by our Technical Universities, based on their applied research. After their presentations, an independent jury will determine the winner of the Altran-KIVI NIRIA Telecommunications Award 2010.
During the jury meeting, you can attend TMA's lectures. TMA will present you the practical cases of the finalists for the CALVI-TMA Award. The afternoon will end with a festive drinks reception and the presentation of the Altran-KIVI NIRIA Telecommunications Award.
After the drinks reception, the evening programme of the Telecom Business Dinner (limited registration) will start. This high-level networking evening has become an event where representatives from the telecoms market and telecoms end-users meet in a relaxed manner and are given the opportunity to strengthen personal and business contacts. Relationship management, networking and romping about complicated telecom choices go hand in hand. This luxurious and atmospheric dinner will conclude with the award ceremony of the CALVI-TMA Award
