Telecommunications company Allinq

Founded in 1962, Allinq is a leading company in the telecoms sector and is based in Harderwijk. Allinq specialises in the design, construction, management and maintenance of high-quality telecommunications infrastructures (fibre optic, coaxial and mobile networks). They offer a wide range of services and solutions for both national and international customers in the telecom sector.

The approximately 2,000 employees use advanced tools to continuously monitor network operations, intervene quickly and carry out repairs.

CAI Harderwijk

The CAI Harderwijk Foundation - founded in 1975 - builds and manages on a non-profit basis the fibre-optic and coax infrastructure for transmission of television and radio channels and telephony and internet services in Harderwijk and Hierden. CAI Harderwijk developed a network philosophy based on openness and optimal competition between multiple service providers.

This focus led to the roll-out of FTTH in the municipality of Harderwijk to all homes, including all rural areas, and an open network with 97% activated homes. Several large and small commercial providers use CAI Harderwijk's fibre-optic network to bring their services to citizens and businesses.

Residents of the municipality are also still connected to TV and radio signals via the traditional coaxial cable. CAI Harderwijk continuously invests in its infrastructure so that speed and reliability are guaranteed. Besides technical quality, the organisation distinguishes itself with its independent course. It has never been taken over by a large commercial player and behaves like a public, serving the public interest.

Ing. Rutger van der Graaff Manager of the innovation lab, together with his colleagues, will give a presentation on Alling and the what the company does. There will also be an extensive group tour of the innovation lab where you can participate actively or passively yourself.

Innovation lab Allinq

n the lab to which KIVI has been invited, many telecom systems are set up to develop tools and instruct employees.

During the visit, you can actually see and touch many telecom systems. You will get to know how, with augmented reality, Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Allinq optimally supports mechanics in their work.

In the VR environment, with VR glasses on, you yourself can experience what it is like to install equipment and cables in a Digital Twin system in the data room, located in Harderwijk next to the A28 motorway.

Ing Ruter van der Graaff, Manager of the innovation laboratory, together with his colleagues, will give a presentation on Alling and the what the company does. There will also be a comprehensive group tour of the innovation lab, where you can participate actively or passively yourself.

CAI Harderwijk

Edo Kweldam is director of CAI Harderwijk. He served in the Royal Air Force for four years after studying electronics at the MTS in Dordrecht.

He worked in air traffic control on communication centre modernisation. In 1993, Edo joined the local cable company CAI Harderwijk. As a member of the technical staff, he was involved in the upgrade of the coaxial network, including the implementation of remote switching of multi-tap devices and digitalisation of the network to enable digital television. On 1 January 2006, Edo Kweldam was appointed Managing Director of CAI Harderwijk. Under his leadership, this local player did not merge with other cable companies, but innovated independently, both technically and strategically. He is a board member of NLconnect, the Dutch broadband industry trade association, and chairman of SCTE Benelux, a network association for telecom professionals. Edo Kweldam follows international developments in telecommunications. He gives national and international lectures on developments at CAI Harderwijk and his vision of what lies ahead in the industry.
