Recitation Aiko Pras

Aiko Pras is professor of cybersecurity (emeritus). His main focus has been on protection against large-scale cyber attacks on vital infrastructures, such as the internet, our (offshore) energy infrastructure and digital sovereignty.

In this lecture, he takes a closer look at these topics. Using examples, he discusses what technical options are available to mitigate large-scale DDoS attacks and how attribution of perpetrators can take place. He also discusses the difference between cyber attacks and other forms of attacks, and why policymakers often struggle to arrive at effective measures.
