Signal Processing for Wireless
Description
We would like to cordially invite you to the theme meeting of NERG in cooperation with KIVI NIRIA Telecommunications on Wednesday 22 May 2013 at Eindhoven University of Technology, with the theme "Signal Processing for Wireless: Analog or Digital?". During this meeting, the 2012 Veder Prize will be awarded. Every year, the Stichting Wetenschappelijk Radiofonds Veder awards the so-called Vederprijs to individuals who have made pioneering contributions in the field of radio and telecommunications science. During the meeting, the prize will be presented to dr.ir. Johan van den Heuvel.
In honour of this presentation, we are organising this theme meeting. During the afternoon, dr.ir. Johan van den Heuvel (Holst Centre / IMEC-NL, formerly TU Eindhoven) will explain his work in this area, based on his PhD work entitled "Analog multiple-input multiple-output spatial filtering". Prof Peter Baltus will put this in context, presenting the latest research results at the Centre for Wireless Technology Eindhoven, at TU Eindhoven. Furthermore, Hooman Habibi MSc (TU Eindhoven) will discuss digital signal processing techniques for improving wireless transceivers.
After this meeting, you are welcome to join us for informal drinks
