Technology, media use and their connection
Description
The Telecommunications Department of KIVI invites you to attend a lecture evening by the TSOC with which we have partnered.
How is our media use actually progressing? Which came before: technology or the changing needs of consumers? Innovations follow each other rapidly when it comes to broadcasting technologies, especially over the internet.
Anyone can now start their own internet TV channel at very little cost. Is that meaningful technology? How do we shift our interest from the viewing box to the internet and back?
And - hot off the press - what are the latest techniques being presented this week at NAB, the world's largest broadcasting trade fair? Will we all soon be watching in 4K quality or will we skip that and go straight to 8K? What are visitors talking and whispering about? What should we take into account?
17.30 - 18:30 Reception with coffee/tea/fresh drinks and snacks
