Description

A journey through the mobile era, the possibilities of IP and the successor to GSM and UMTS under the microscope: Long Term Evolution.

Mobile telecommunications is on the brink of a revolution! The promise is called Long Term Evolution (LTE), the 4G technology that telecom operators will use to bombard the market next year.

On Wednesday evening 14 October, you can take a look at the past, present and future of mobile telecommunications.
Toon Norp, Business Consultant at TNO ICT, will offer an overview of the development of mobile telephony, from Semaphone to HSDPA.
Jan Willem Wallenburg, Solution Manager at Ericsson Telecommunications, will explain LTE technology and why it is the future.
Cees Pannekoek, COIN director and former board member of Libertel, KPN and Ericsson Telecommunications, will then explain the impact of IP on the telephony business: what opportunities does IP offer and why?
