On 7 June, Ronald Teijken from IBM will drop by to tell us more about Watson IoT.
His explanation of this topic:
"IoT is radically changing the way businesses operate and people interact with the physical world. As virtually everything becomes connected-from cars to conveyor belts to buildings-businesses can harness the resulting data to improve virtually every aspect of what they do. Cognitive Internet of Things will transform the way every person experiences the physical world. At a time when organizations are looking to gain a competitive edge, data produced from sensors in the Internet of Things offers an opportunity to gather even more information that can improve processes, drive innovation and improve the customer experience. The challenge lies in understanding which data is most valuable and figuring out what to do with it. IoT is one of the most disruptive developments at the moment, which is no longer only a hype, but reality."

"During this knowledge session, I will paint a picture of where IBM is now with the development of IoT," says Teijken. "We are past the hype and implementation is now in full swing. Here, IoT is not just about sensors or a platform, but also and especially about integration with core elements of regular systems, such as asset management and maintenance. I will show with examples during this session that the developments in all these areas combined with an IBM Watson IoT is taking the step from hype to insight in a huge way."
About the 5G Masterclass
The 5G Masterclass is an initiative of 5Groningen, a project of the Economic Board Groningen (EBG). It is an educational, interactive event that takes place once every three weeks. Each Masterclass has a 5G-related topic. The two-hour classes are introduced by experts from top players in the telecom world such as KPN, Vodafone, Ericsson, Huawei and TNO. Afterwards, there will be room for questions and substantive discussion. This unique event is free to attend, all you have to do is register here. There is room for a maximum of 15 visitors at a time. So register in time to be sure of a place!
