Building around the railway - spatial development and task -
Unfortunately, we have found that interest is too limited for this activity to take place. We are therefore forced to cancel 29 September. We will be happy to keep you informed of any replacement alternative at another time.

On Thursday 29 September 2022, the Rail Department of KIVI (Royal Institute of Engineers) is organising the activity "Building around the railway".
In the Netherlands, there are more and more inner-city developments and major building assignments near the railway. This physical activity will take you into the world of the built environment with nice interfaces for rail infrastructure. During this activity, various specialists will take you into the field of building around the railway. From the engineering firm Arcadis, Verali von Meijenfeldt takes part in plan study developments from her expertise. Paul Dreef (SPIE, formerly Strukton Worksphere) will take you along from the contractors' perspective and digital design, and Caroline Brunekreef (ProRail) an area developments at junctions.
KIVI Section Rail cordially invites you to gain insight for these great initiatives and applications at the railway!
