Description
Traction power supply - now and in the future
A number of speakers will share with you the current performance, technical developments and challenges of traction power supply. This will also include social future developments in electrical energy supply. Topics that will be reviewed: sustainable traction power supply, migration from 1500V dc to 3000V dc, performance improvement of overhead lines and energy transition (smart markets, smart grids, smart metering).
Speakers:

- Ing. Fedor ten Harve Mbe, System Expert Energy Supply at ProRail.
- Ing. Michiel van Brummelen, System Specialist Overhead Line at ProRail.
Following the presentations, we will break up into two workshops, to be chosen at your discretion. Workshop 1 will cover the possibilities of developments in electric and traction power supply. Workshop 2 concerns a presentation of overhead lines in the Netherlands.
