The event will look at this question from different angles with three key-note presentations in the morning:

  • Professor Rijsenbrij will take us through the history of automation in the port as one of the visionaries around the construction of the ECT terminal;
  • Erwin Rademaker will talk about the challenges facing the Port of Rotterdam Authority and how they view automation.
  • Finally, at the end of the morning, Remco Pikaart and David Woudenberg take a look at the consequences of automation and autonomous sailing for inland navigation entrepreneurs.

In the afternoon, several topics will be covered in more focused parallel sessions.
