Innovation Seminar i.c.w. ALV
Description
This year's General Assembly (ALV) of the Department of Transport Science and Logistics will take place at TU Delft.
Following the ALV, three presentations will present some of the Innovations that are being intensively worked on at the Department of Marine and Transport Technology at TU Delft
15:30 - 16:00 Reception
16:00 - 18:00 ALV + Lectures
- Ir. Stef Lommen (TU Delft): Grab design with discrete element method.
By simulating the dump material and the grab with the discrete element method, it is in fact possible to develop, test and then evaluate virtual prototypes.
- Dr Rudy Negenborn (TU Delft): Towards Intelligent Transport Infrastructures using Multi-agent Control for Coordination of Transport Hubs.
His current research involves the fundamental fields of multi-agent systems, hybrid systems, distributed control, and model predictive control. He develops advanced distributed control strategies and applies these strategies to improve the operation of infrastructure systems in general, and water and electric power infrastructures in particular.
Speaker(s)
- Jos van der Geest (Van Riet Material Handling Systems): Automating the design and engineering process of material handling systems.
As project manager I am responsible for the development of a computer tool in which 3D layouts of material handling systems can be designed. The computer tool is equipped with functionalities to generate calculations, simulations electrical drawings and emulations from the original 3D layouts.
18:00 - 18:15 Discussion
18:15 - 19:00 Networking over a drink and a sandwich
