The logistics of scheduling in home care
Every day, tens of thousands of nurses and carers deliver care to people's homes. During a route or shift, home care workers visit 10 to 15 people. The employees need to be properly scheduled where quality of care, availability of employees and efficiency are important. Healthcare is increasingly adapting planning machines to support these complex planning processes. Questions addressed during the company visit include: how is planning done? What are the characteristics of planning in healthcare? What are developments and (im)possibilities?

Walter Bastiaenssens, Omring's concern manager ICT, hosts and talks about his experiences with plans in care. MCH+ develops and implements intelligent planning systems that are mainly used in healthcare. Zorg Office Nederland has introduced a unique business model in which all administrative processes, including planning, are taken over from a healthcare organisation. The meeting will have an interactive character, concluding with a discussion on the possible applications of care logistics in other sectors with complex planning processes!
