Visit PAL-V in Raamdonksveer

KIVI Transport and Logistics will be visiting PAL-V, the flying car company, on 24 June. See also www.pal-v.com/nl.

Marco van den Bosch, PAL-V’s CCO, will be welcoming us. He will tell us about the origins of PAL-V and the current state of play. The company has achieved official status as a certified car manufacturer through the RDW and has met the airworthiness requirements (certification basis) set by EASA. Preparations for series production are underway in Raamsdonksveer. The final type approvals required to actually take to the skies are in their final stages.

It is remarkable that a Dutch company has, in around 20 years, devised a vehicle that can drive and fly, and has been approved by the RDW.

Perhaps we can ask Marco how, as an air force pilot, he came to work at PAL-V and what potential customers need to go through to be allowed to use the Liberty themselves.

Afterwards, Marc and a colleague will give us a tour of the production site.

Following the visit, there will be an opportunity to catch up over a meal at the nearby Wegrestaurant Napoleon. Participation is at your own expense (standard menu + pre-dinner drink = approx. €35). When registering, please indicate whether you would like to join us for dinner.

Meal details:

• The group menu consists of: 1 drink, tomato soup, schnitzel or chicken satay, vegetables and a side of potatoes, coffee or tea.
• Anyone wishing to have a vegetarian meal or something else will only pay for the visit and settle the bill directly at Wegrestaurant Napoleon.
