The Tunnel Engineering and Underground Works department deals with, among other things:
- immersed tunnels
- bored tunnels
- cut-and-cover tunnels
- tunnel entrances and exits
- sunken roads and railways
- tunnel installations, lighting, ventilation, etc
- underground construction
- underground spaces
- basement structures.
TTOW also represents the ITA (International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association) in the Netherlands.
