Description

First, the Annual General Meeting of Members will take place. This will be followed by a simple sandwich meal, followed by a number of interesting lectures, again this year, with opportunities for discussion.

Before the break, there will be three lectures on immersion:
- First of all, Peter van Westendorp and Bart Jan Ruesink will discuss what it means to have to immerse tunnels within 10 mm placement tolerance, based on the moveable storm surge barrier in Venice.
- Hans Mortier then discusses the results of the Committee on immersion joints.
- Finally, Joeri Vinkx takes us to the Ritsumasyl immersed aqueduct in the N31 under the title "Old immersion techniques applied in a new guise".

After the break, the involvement of Dutch companies in foreign projects is discussed:
- Marijn Brugman and William Munsterman discuss challenges in various tunnel projects at home and abroad concerning geological conditions (hard rock / soft soil), possible construction, the sometimes very limited data available and creative solutions (including observational method) devised to this end.
- Bas van Aart concludes with "Metro Riyadh - Vision of the King". Besides focusing on the content of this major metro project and the project organisation, he will also discuss what it means to work in a different culture and with other cultures.

When registering, you can indicate separately whether you will participate in just the lecture evening, or also in the members' meeting and the bread meal
