This evening will feature the Annual General Meeting of Members, followed by a simple bread meal and then some substantive lectures. The start time is approximately 18:45.

The following topics will be discussed.

UNIQUE ASIA
A feedback from the recent TTOW study trip to South Korea and Shanhai. The following projects will be reviewed.
* The Busan Geoje Fixed Link Project in which Strukton is handling the sinking of the elements at great depth
* The construction of Yangshan Deep Sea Port off the coast of Shanghai, a project in which DHV is involved.
* Two drilled tunnel projects where Herrenknecht TBMs rotated (with a nice animated film of a TBM)
* The construction of an underground distribution centre/parking garage (2 x 75,000 m2).

SINKING OF SINKING TUNES - FACT OR FACT?
The immersion of tunnels has been carried out with pontoons and ballast tanks for decades. Sinking by pulling down tunnel elements is a new phenomenon in sinking country. In early 2010, Strukton Afzinktechnieken will be one of the first companies in the world to apply this principle to the aqueduct on the N57 in Middelburg.

HONGKONG-ZHUHAI-MACOA LINK
A presentation by TEC on the new link to be built between mainland China and the Government of Hong Kong by means of 25 km of bridges and 6 km of immersed tunnel.
