KIVI TTOW Foreign trip 2026
Germany | Denmark
This year, the engineering association KIVI TTOW with the COB and KIVI TTOW-YM is again organising a fully catered study tour of foreign practical projects.
From 04 March to 8 March 2026, you can join the trip through northern Germany and Denmark. The trip will take you along diverse and very appealing tunnel projects.
We will depart by bus from Utrecht and first visit a water tunnel near Ibbenbüren (bored tunnel and 70 m deep shafts). The journey then takes us to Bremen and Bremerhaven where work is currently underway on the Weser Tunnel; we visit the project site and construction dock.
Next destination is Hamburg, where we visit the 4km underground extension of line 5 (U5).
Friday is entirely dedicated to the 20km Femernbelt connection between Germany and Denmark. There will be a visit to the visitors' centre in Rødbyhavn and a number of construction sites.
We continue the trip towards Copenhagen, where we will visit the Nordhavn tunnel in the north-east of Copenhagen.
The afternoon programme has not yet been finalised, but we are exploring the possibility of a meet-and-greet with Danish engineers and builders.
Of course, there will be plenty of room for networking, conviviality and great encounters!
The price for members and non-members is €2100. This amount is fully inclusive of travel, accommodation, food/drink. Students can travel along for €300. There is room for a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 participants.
