Dear TTOW Young Members,

The last project visit to RIF010 has been a while ago, so herewith we would like to invite you to our next activity! On Friday 23 August we have been invited to the Oosterweelverbinding project, to be specific the Scheldt Tunnel. Here, the combination TM COTU is building an immersion tunnel on behalf of Lantis.

In the morning, we leave Rotterdam by bus in the direction of Zeebrugge and visit the construction dock. Here, the 8 tunnel elements are currently being hard at work, all elements are at different stages so we will get a nice picture of how something like this is made now.

Next, we head back towards Antwerp. Here, the ramp is being built on the left bank, against which the first element will be placed. We will conclude with dinner and drive back towards Rotterdam by bus.

The programme is as follows:

08:00 - 08:30 Gathering Rotterdam

11:00 - 13:30 Visit Bouwdok Zeebrugge

15:30 - 17:30 Visit Linkeroever Antwerp

17:30 - 19:30 Dinner

21:00 Arrival Rotterdam

Location: Collect near Rotterdam, exact location to be determined.End of the day we will also return to Rotterdam.

PPE: For this project visit you need to bring your own PPE. Are you not in possession of PPE but would still like to participate? Please indicate this when you register.

Cost: For the visit (including transport, lunch and dinner), €30 will be charged.

Tip: You may be able to claim this amount from your employer!
