Description

In 2009, Veolia took over regional transport in Haaglanden from Connexxion. In doing so, Veolia uses natural gas buses built by MAN Germany. Transport runs without any problems. Even during the last relatively cold winter, few problems occurred with these buses.
TNO road transport, based in Delft at the time, made a major contribution to the development of the natural gas bus.
Participants will be given a breakdown of the construction of the bus, the choice of engine, maintenance and the method of natural gas refuelling.
After the presentations, participants will be given a tour of the garage and, depending on availability, a short tour in a natural gas bus.
Not many natural gas buses operate in the Netherlands yet. For more information, please refer to the enclosed attachment.
