Description

Two-day training course:
Monday 9 June 2008, 19.00-22.00
and
Monday 16 June 2008, 19.00-22.00

The Netherlands is known for its meeting and consultation culture. If you look at any week in your diary, you probably know why. But as many meetings there are, so many are also complained about. It takes too long, people talk past each other, nothing comes out of it, and so on. After this course, not everything will be immediately different. But you will be able to run your meeting properly and efficiently. Or if you are not a chairperson, to recognise roles that people fulfil in the meeting (with or without double agendas) and to respond properly to them. So that you can at least monitor your objectives and, where possible, make the meeting run more efficiently, effectively and productively. But apart from others, you will also be discussed. Using self-assessment, we will look at your role in the process. So that profits can be made there as well.

TRAINING ASPACT
The training has a practical content, with a connection to daily practice as much as possible. Through discussion, we look at the different types of meetings that occur in daily practice, their objectives and pitfalls. Recommendations for improvement will then be put on the table. Through short role-plays, the roles people fulfil in a meeting will be examined and how to deal with them. Self-assessment will be used to look at one's own individual role in the meeting process, whether or not as chairman.
