KIVI (Royal Institute of Engineers) together with Rijkswaterstaat is organising a lecture and interactive case study for a group of 20 Master students (TU Delft) on Friday afternoon 25 April 2025 in The Hague. The topic is the Renewal, Replacement & Renovation task of Moveable Bridges and Locks at Rijkswaterstaat. KIVI is arranging the venue and drinks lunch and refreshments.
The day consists of a lecture and interactive workshop/case study, in which the students can actively participate. The students' knowledge includes: business strategies, using ICT/logistics/energy technology for innovation, solving problems in complex socio-technical systems, strategic decision-making, scenario design and data-driven policy options, system understanding, modelling, simulation.
Mini-role play, 10 students together solve a complex V&R issue.
students step into role of RWS (asset, environment, contract, technical and project manager) or counterpart/stakeholder (environment, contractor, project control/engineering team)
Goal: Communicate with each other. Example: Tunnel (Reactive > safety > solution).
