Fokker has branches in nine countries and works with 4900 employees for its customers.
Recently, Fokker became part of GKN Aerospace.
Fokker has four branches in the Netherlands:
Fokker Landing Gear in Helmond, where we will be our guest.
Fokker Aerostructures, construction of fuselage parts in Papendrecht and Hoogeveen.
Fokker Elmo, construction of cable systems at Woensdrecht.
Fokker Services, specialist maintenance of aircraft at Schiphol Airport.
Fokker Landing Gear B.V. develops and builds landing gear. Current work includes the landing gear of the NH-90 and the F-35, better known as Joint Strike Fighter.
Our host Mr Peet Vergouwen, Manager R&D, will introduce us to the technology of landing gear. He will also take us through the developments that Fokker Landing Gear is working on, giving us a glimpse of the future.
Rob Bergers, a student at TU Delft, will give a presentation on the graduation project he is currently carrying out at Fokker Landing Gear.
Afterwards, we will be shown around the production and test departments in three groups.
The maximum number of participants has been set at 22 people.
KIVI members will be given priority over introductees when registering.
