Description

The PostNL depot in Born processes between 30,000 and 45,000 parcels per evening for onward shipment to consumers around the world.

To this end, PostNL has developed a concept that is unique in parcel shipping.
Our host for the evening, Patric Vosbeek, senior process manager, will take us into the world of PostNL parcels in a presentation. After the presentation, we will go onto the 'floor' in two groups to see for ourselves how parcels are processed. The sorting machine at the heart of the process will then be in full operation.

You will be able to see how the process is 'lean' designed and executed.
In its execution, PostNL offers an opportunity to people who are distanced from the labour market. That is, PostNL offers a chance for people to gain experience in a group in a labour process that has to be carried out in a strictly regulated way, with each link depending on the previous and the next. During the presentation and tour, Patric will be sure to address this as well.

Given the timing of the meeting, we will provide a cup of soup and sandwiches upon entry. After the tour, there will be an opportunity to ask questions while enjoying a drink.
Please note that during the tour we will enter a logistics process. Safety shoes with steel toe caps are mandatory here!
