Description

On 16 November, Region Limburg South has organised a lecture evening as the second in a cycle of four.

The subject of the cycle is sustainability, in which all kinds of forms of sustainability will be reviewed.

The lecture will be given by Ing. Wiert Jan van Wilsem, of Advies- en Ingenieursbureau Witteveen+Bos.

Witteveen+Bos is a consultancy and engineering firm with offices in the Netherlands and abroad. Witteveen+Bos devotes considerable attention to sustainability in a broad sense. Within the buildings group, projects and feasibility studies pay much attention to the application of renewable energy and energy-saving measures.
For the Kivi Niria cycle of lectures on sustainability, Witteveen+Bos will give two presentations on Wednesday 16 November on the subjects of solar techniques and high-efficiency systems.

There are two main types of solar techniques: systems for the production of electricity (photovoltaic systems) and systems for the production of heat (solar-thermal systems). During the presentation, aspects relating to installation, technical characteristics and financial feasibility of these systems will be explained.

In the field of ventilation, cooling and heating, several high-efficiency systems are available that efficiently convert energy. A number of these systems will be explained and technical aspects and application possibilities will be discussed
