Accsys Technologies Arnhem, the trading name for Titan Wood BV is part of Accsys Technologies PLC, a UK listed company specialising in the development of new technologies. Accsys produces Accoya® wood using a patented process, which modifies unsustainably fast-growing wood. Accoya® wood contains no toxic or wood foreign substances, making it fully recyclable and much more environmentally friendly than most other alternatives to tropical hardwoods. Accsys sources its raw material from responsibly managed growth areas, such as FSC-certified forests.
Accoya® wood is a high quality, natural wood species produced through the non-toxic acetylation process at the company's Arnhem plant. This thoroughly modified wood has proven its superior properties in applications such as window frames, doors, cladding, bridges and terraces. Accoya® wood is perfect for outdoor applications, including in full soil and/or water contact, as it has the highest durability rating (class 1). Due to its longevity, it contributes to forest conservation. Partly because of this, Accoya® wood is Cradle to Cradle Gold certified and recently strengthened with the DuBokeur certificate with an excellent Environmental Assessment by NIBE
