AVR Duiven - CO2 capture
We will look at the following projects there:
Pilot:from CO₂ and fly ash to a new raw material
In collaboration with UK company Carbon8, AVR is working on a pilot combining captured CO₂ with fly ash into a new raw material for construction, a type of gravel.
CO₂ as a fuel in greenhouse horticulture
Since August 2019, one of the largest CO₂ capture plants in the European waste sector has been in Duiven. The CO₂ released at AVR after burning residual waste serves as an important raw material for crop growth.
Cost: KIVI members free, non KIVI members €25. Students can also participate free of charge.
