Description
e-Traction is a supplier of electric motors and chargers, and a specialist in controlling electric drives. e-Traction has acquired a patent on a wheel hub motor with direct drive. This invention, TheWheel, is a technical masterpiece and is now being put into practical use as the drive for a hybrid electric city bus. Five of these city buses will enter Apeldoorn's timetable in early 2009. The buses will be monitored over a two-year period, with both pollutant emissions and fuel consumption expected to be reduced by half. Also, the bus will move much more quietly through traffic; hence the name of the bus is "The Whisper". The excursion will include a presentation and a tour of the workshop, where the Apeldoorn buses are currently being built
