Bees are pollinators. As pollinators, bees provide a greater variety of fruits and seeds. These serve as food for all kinds of animals and people. For instance, our apples and pears came into being because a pollinator did its job. The same goes for tomatoes or coffee.

Bees are much in the news because they have not been doing so well for years. Species have become rare or even extinct because the habitat in our country has deteriorated enormously.
