Geo ICT
The sheets of the presentation can be found under 'Documents'
Geo-ICT is the combination of Computer Science and Geography. It deals with all ICT systems involving location data. Think of navigation systems, satellites, telecom (5G) and electricity networks. But also applications in managing and organising the space around us: basic registrations and the Environment Act.
At the heart of Geo-ICT lies the creation of digital maps. These maps are constructed from multiple layers of vector and/or raster data. That data can be analysed using so-called geo processing tools.
The speaker has decades of experience in Geo-ICT and will give an overview of the analysis techniques and applications of Geo-ICT.
Speaker: Drs Remy Strijbosch MSc, programme director Geo-ICT, ICT Academy Apeldoorn
