NETWORK CAFÉ: Innovative and Circular Prefabricated Roof Structures

The board of KIVI Region Gelderland invites you to the network café on Monday, 4 November next, on the theme Innovative and circular prefab structures from Kappi: High quality, prefab, sustainable, fast assembly.

Speaker is Martijn Monné, Director of Technology, construction and building physics at Kappi. The lecture starts at 20.00, the hall is open from 19.30.

Kappi offers innovative, sustainable solutions for every building project. The range consists of high-quality wooden elements and other natural materials with which all kinds of free-span roof structures can be realised. Whether you choose a pent roof to optimally place solar panels, or want to replace a mansard roof, anything is possible with Kappi.

The lecture will briefly discuss the development of timber structures with specifically the development of Kappi. From first experiments in the living room, to a serious business and everything that comes with it.

Martijn Monné is an independent timber structural engineer. After studying Structural Design at TU Eindhoven, he has worked for several engineering firms, timber frame builders and the forest industry. His focus is on the efficient use of wood in modern structures.

Eighteen months ago, Martijn founded Kappi together with two partners. With this, they focus on the development and production of prefabricated roof structures. Kappi is an entirely new type of roof, which should solve well-known problems for both builders and home owners.
