What is insurance? As in our private lives, in industry it is covering a residual risk. To do that properly, you will first have to weigh up: what is it about, is it worth it, what have I done myself to reduce the risk? Willem Leyds and Adriaan Veer, talk about their experiences in the chemical process industry, involving risk identification, risk assessments, loss scenarios and risk reduction.
